Shattered Psyche 2nd Ed., Vol 1(3) is a florilegium of modern art by artists from all over the world. Marie Moldovan, Alycia Hodge, Rati Banga Pala, Geraldine O'Dowd, Jayshree Parmar, and Mary Grace Gonzales are six international artists that have witnessed tragedy and rebuilt their lives through creativity. Corey Jones Kintsugi is the Japanese art of mending broken things by piecing them back together, filling the cracks with gold. This process allows for something thought to be broken to in fact be transformed into something new. This artistic expression celebrates the flaws and imperfections and some maybe even argue, improves upon what once was. The Shattered Psyche Anthology is a wonderful expression of the Kintsugi concept. The artists take the broken and shattered pieces of their psyche and mend them beautifully back together in art form. Metaphorically lacing the world within their mind together with the tangible world of art right in front of the viewer. "Marie Moldovan ---Is a promising poet(ess) in the field of modern literature. S/he was born and raised in Regina Saskatchewan, Canada, and hails from a background rich in ethnic diversity. S/he is an Ex- Canadian Forces Soldier, single parent, widower, small business owner, carpenter, small press publisher, artist, and literal ""Jack of many trades, Master of some."" Marie has overcome many bumps in the road including homelessness and addiction. S/he believes learning is a never-ending aspect of life and calls themself a professional student with varied interests. One of he/r institutions of study includes the University of Regina. Marie discovered her flair for poetry in high school, when her poem ""War"" was selected for publication in ""Young Saskatchewan Writers 1995 -1996. "" Alycia is a writer, artist, editor and poetry group admin. She believes writing and art helps us heal and connect."
