Overview

Self and Determination examines the way selves are constructed through physical experiences, social forces and cultural meanings. This process determines the conditions and limitations of social transformation. Utilising cognitive science, political philosophy, Buddhism and practices of existing social movements, Stephens tackles 'the self' as a site of intervention and decolonisation, in the service of building stronger social movements.
