Author Information

Judit Kiss is Full Professor of International Economics and Development Studies at IBS (International Business School)/University of Buckingham, UK, and a research professor at the Institute of World Economics, Centre for Economic and Regional Studies, Hungary. She holds a DSc from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. She was Visiting Professor at the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (1985–89). Her fields of research are international trade and development aid, economic development of Sub-Saharan African countries, FDI, remittances, and food security. István Tarrósy is Full Professor of Political Science at the University of Pécs (UP), Hungary, and Visiting Professor at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. He is Director of the Hungarian Africa Research Centre and Head of the Doctoral Programme in International Politics at UP. He is Affiliate Professor at the Center for Arts, Migration and Entrepreneurship, University of Florida, USA. His fields of research are: Afro-Asian relations, geopolitics, security of Sub-Saharan African countries, global African migrations, and Hungarian foreign policy towards Africa.
