OverviewForeword by Tommy Hilfiger Anne Menke has travelled the world on assignment for the likes of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair, and The New York Times, usually in search of the perfect environment to shoot a fashion spread. Through this, she has discovered that these environments themselves are the origins of much of the fashion we see on the runways today and has compiled an incredible record of people and places with that in mind. Limited to just 110 copies, this deluxe edition is boxed, and comes with a signed and number print. Photographer Anne Menke is a free spirit whose work occupies a unique realm where high fashion meets bohemian travel. Her editorial stories exude a sense of glamour, often against backdrops of far flung exotic locales. She photographs couture on the mountains of Peru, and beauty contests in the plains of Mongolia. Somehow she is an insider wherever she goes; her eye for the authentic brings her viewers along on the journey. Menke was born in Germany, she lived and worked in London, Paris, and New York City. She currently splits her time between New York and Sayulita, Mexico; a perfect base for her frequent photography excursions. It's also where she surfs and the home of the green school she created, The Costa Verde International School. Her work can be seen worldwide in Vogue, Elle, Conde Nast Traveler, Self, Sports Illustrated, and W magazines, among others. Menke also photographs for other clients, including Banana Republic, Rachel Roy, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Keds, Clarins, L Oreal, J Crew, Macy's, Nike and Aveda. In 2001 Anne published a photography book Our New York in conjunction with Tommy Hilfiger. 'See the World Beautiful' was selected as one of Oprah's favourite books of the season and was featured in the New York Times Style section. 129 colour Full Product DetailsAuthor: Anne Menke , Tommy Hilfiger , Julia Chapin , Andrew NiccolPublisher: Glitterati Inc Imprint: Glitterati Inc Edition: Special edition Dimensions: Width: 28.00cm , Height: 4.40cm , Length: 35.60cm Weight: 4.028kg ISBN: 9780989170420ISBN 10: 098917042 Pages: 253 Publication Date: 11 September 2015 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Hardback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: Out of stock The supplier is temporarily out of stock of this item.
