The author's visionary artwork found in Secrets of the Laughing Wave are digitally created collages that incorporate his original oil paintings, photography, and images he created using computer painting and special effects programs. Since selling his first oil painting at age 12, Carl has created hundreds of original works of art that have been displayed in shows and galleries on the US mainland and Hawaii. Carl's colorful artwork is now found in the homes and offices of collectors from around the world. Among Carl's many commissions are a series of murals created for the movie, Kindergarten Cop, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. In his multi-faceted life, Carl has also directed theater companies in Oregon and Hawaii, served as a corporate training and development director, and worked as executive director of a social service agency dealing with domestic and gang violence. His latest artistic project involves live video performances as a VJ.
