Anderson Rondle left the Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC) on April 1, 2009 after 32 years of continuous service. His last Executive Team position was the Northern Region Director of Operations. This position provided operational supervision to IDOC Superintendents assigned to the northern half of the State. Region Directors report directly to the Deputy Commissioner of Operation for the Department. Rondle started with the Department of Correction in 1977 as a Correctional Officer and was then promoted through the ranks of Counselor, Group Leader, Casework Manager, Supervisor of Classification, Unit Team Manager, Assistant Superintendent, Facility Director, Superintendent, and as mentioned Region Director. He was also certified to instruct/facilitate Mid-Level Managers of IDOC on topics such as Cultural Competency, Basic Supervisory Leadership, and Interpersonal Communication Skills. From 1997 thru 2000, Ron was selected by the National Institute of Correction to facilitate training in the areas of Diversity Leadership and Advanced Leadership Strategies for Women and Minorities. Rondle received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana University in Criminal Justice/Public Affairs and has accumulated numerous training credits from the National Institute of Corrections. He is a professional member of the American Correctional Association (ACA) and Past President of the Indiana Correctional Association (ICA), as well as the Indiana Chapter of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice (NABCJ). Rondle received recognition as the ICA Distinguished Service Award recipient in 2005 and the Distinguished Hoosier Award recipient from Indiana Governor Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr in 2009.
