OverviewDuring Europe's political and economic turmoil of the late twenties, a boy child is born to a poor family in Northern Greece. Having survived the fate of two of his siblings which died in infancy, he enters the stage of life unaware of the multitude of surprises which it has in store for him. He is a retired Construction Engineer and author of a book and many magazine and newspaper articles on environmental subjects. During World War II, when Greece was occupied by the Nazis, he joined the Greek resistance and was arrested and tortured by the Nazis. As a commissioned officer of the Greek Army, he served in Korea and was decorated by both Korea and Greece with the Distinguished Services Medal. During the Greek military dictatorship (1967-1974) he was a founder and Executive Director of the California Committee for Democracy in Greece.
