CLAUDIA TURNER was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She earned a BS from Bates College, an MS from The Pennsylvania State University and a PhD from The Johns Hopkins University. At various times, she has been an athlete, a teacher, a scientist and finally, a writer. Claudia lives in Massachusetts.
