Some of his essays demonstrate a startling and honest self-awareness of his failed marriage and his acceptance that being a street hustler is part and parcel of who he is. A theme appearing in numerous essays is his unending search for love, lust, and romance beginning at age 12 and still appearing in his final and latest writing. Stories from his childhood such as Where's the Dog? are hilariously funny, while others such as How Old Are You Now? and Victoria Visits the YanYans, are heart-wrenching and emotionally inspiring. I found most of the essays enchanting and appealing to every little boy, teenager, divorced husband, and father who dwell within us. Author Information

Sal Guarino is from Brooklyn, New York. He has been a mental health counselor, educator, digital marketing expert, and life coach. He also spent time working in the spirited worlds of Wall Street and the automotive industry. Could he wave a magic wand, he'd spend all his time on his most beloved pursuits: communing with his two adult daughters, life-coaching and mentoring, dining, story-telling, and singing a cappella standards. Sal's current pursuits include writing additional books, conducting team building workshops for businesses, and consulting in the digital marketing arena. Most of all, Sal cherishes what he has been able to glean from these diverse opportunities: a daily sense of gratitude, beauty, and enthusiasm. Sal lives in Newport Beach, California. This is his first book.
