Author Information

Carla Bardi has written and edited more than 30 cookbooks on Italian and international cooking. Some of her more successful books have been translated into more than 20 languages. Bardi's Italian roots have given her an abiding love of, and respect for, all aspects of food and wine. Raised in Tuscany, she first learned to cook from her grandmother and aunts. Bardi has travelled extensively throughout Africa and Europe, where she picked up many of her cooking secrets - from apple strudel in Vienna and genois in Paris and Bordeaux, to couscous in Morocco and Algeria. Bardi now lives on the shores of Lake Bolsena in central Italy, where she runs a small vineyard.
