Overview

Sadness can be hard to deal with. But being sad is a normal part of life. People feel sad about different things. Find out how sadness affects how you think and act and how you can help others who are sad. Level 1 readers are aimed at children who are starting to recognize common words and are capable of sounding out unfamiliar words. Author Information

Sarah became an editor after many years of working as a bookseller, columnist and reviewer. She has also taught courses on writing, editing and publishing. Sarah was an editor at Orca Book Publishers for thirteen years before she (semi)-retired to become a freelance editor. She is also the author of a baker's dozen of books for young readers. Alexis Roumanis graduated from Simon Fraser University's Master of Publishing program in 2009. Since then, he has edited hundreds of children's books, and written more than 100 educational books. His audience includes children in grades K-12 as well as university students. Alexis lives with his wife and three young boys in British Columbia, Canada. He enjoys the outdoors, reading a good book, and has a passion for learning new things.
