""Once again, Dr. Stamm has captured our hearts as she tells the story of how a much wanted child came into the life of a single mom. A warm and happy glow jumps off the pages and straight into the hearts of the reader and listener."" --BARBARA FEINBERG, Psy.D. / Psychologist & Reproductive Specialist ""Dr. Stamm tells a heartwarming story about a woman's dream to become a mother, and how her child came to be through sperm donation, in a beautiful, straightforward manner. Ruby & Mommy is sure to be a favorite creation story for so many parents and children who have grown their families from a dream, a generous donation, and special assistance from a doctor."" --JAMIE M. JOSEPH, Ph.D. / Psychologist & Reproductive Specialist ""Dr. Stamm does it again with her latest book, Ruby & Mommy, where she is able to capture the beautiful tale of a single mom's journey to parenthood at an age-appropriate level. It's so helpful to have a book that I can easily refer to, knowing that it will resonate from a therapeutic and medical perspective."" --ELANA FRANK / Executive Director & Founder, Jewish Fertility Foundation ""I am delighted Dr. Stamm has added to her collection of stories for donor assisted families. This heartwarming tale depicts a loving picture of a happy family and healthy explanation of a child's origin. I am happy to add Ruby & Mommy to my library."" --EMILY FOGLE, Psy.D. / Psychologist & Reproductive Specialist

Author Information

Dr. Linda Stamm has been a practicing clinical psychologist for over 30 years. She specializes in the assessment and treatment of psychological issues related to infertility, pregnancy, perinatal loss, and the postpartum period. In her private practice she provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and groups, and routinely serves as a consultant to several reproductive endocrinology clinics. Dr. Stamm received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Brown University and her doctorate in clinical psychology from Rutgers University. From her earliest days of childhood, Joan Clipp loved to draw. Despite doodling when she should have been taking notes in class, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design. From her first collegiate experience at Daytona State College, to receiving her BFA from the University of West Georgia, she never stopped drawing, crafting, painting, and creating her art. With her husband, Mike, Joan started PolymerCAFÉ, a craft magazine about the wonderful world of polymer clay. The print publication ran from 2000 to 2015, and she still teaches and enjoys working in polymer clay and mixed media, making jewelry, animal and flower sculptures, and clay-on-canvas works. When not creating, she likes reading, writing, listening to live music, and walks on the beach. She lives and works in Port Orange, Florida.
