Kim Salmon is a highly influential Australian indie rock musician, artist and author. Originally aspiring to be a nuclear physicist, Salmon was swayed by the sounds of rock'n'roll. He's been a seminal influence on Garage and Grunge Rock and countless bands including Nirvana, Mudhoney, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, White Stripes, Sonic Youth, The Drones and Spacemen 3. He has worked in various groups, including The Scientists, Beasts of Bourbon, Kim Salmon and the Surrealists, Kim Salmon and the Business, and Darling Downs
