Overview

"Many people spend their happiest days fishing, paddling, or simply sitting by a river's sometimes peaceful, sometimes turbulent flow. Yet no book has ever truly captured the magic of the water; none has fully honoured this majestic feature of our national landscape. Tim Palmer is a rare exception - a photographer and conservationist who is also a gifted writer. With stunning colour photography and inspiring, informative essays based on Palmer's thirty years of exploration, ""Rivers of America"" showcases more than 150 rivers and streams throughout the United States."
