Author Information

Raymond Chow is a lifelong artist and musician. His grandparents immigrated to BC about a century ago, where they owned farms and stores. He spent much of his life in Greater Vancouver, showing and selling his art for decades at local galleries. Raymond recently moved to Nova Scotia, but he periodically returns for visits and art shows. The book's concept creator and writer, Gary Towne, is a non-artist who appreciated Raymond's work so much, he became his assistant. Gary hails from the Okanagan region, but he has been based in Greater Vancouver since the 1980s, when he is not on a travel adventure. Previously working in horticulture, Gary's life trajectory fundamentally altered when he started travelling in Asia. Subsequently graduating from UBC, he later became an ESL teacher. The Chinese translation for Richmond 380° was executed by Gary's wife, Kiki Wang, who he met in China while teaching there for a few years. Gary and Kiki both work in local public schools.
