Overview

Beginning with an exploration of the troubled times of the 1760s and 1770s, Revolutionary War, Revised Edition presents a probing and thoughtful account of America's heroic seven-year struggle for independence, from the first shots at Lexington and Concord to the British surrender at Yorktown, Virginia. The Revolutionary War was fought by a young and disparate collection of colonies taking on the greatest empire and military power in the world to emerge victorious. A new chapter added to this edition explores the military tactics and weapons used.
