Ellen Lefavour accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in 1970, and has been following and holding Him up as the model for her life ever since (although admittedly not very well at times). Ellen is not a member of any specific denominational or non-denominational church, belonging to Christ's Church (His bride), His body of believers, wherever she encounters them. Over her lifetime, she has experienced Catholic, most every Protestant denomination, non-denominational, Pentecostal, Episcopalian, Kingdom Hall, Russian Orthodox (to see their beautiful icon paintings), mega and little tiny out in the middle of nowhere churches, Jewish Synagogue, Baha'i faith meetings, and Unitarian Universalist services. She has investigated and studied Rastafari, Buddhism, Unity, Kabbalah, Christian Science, and read more spiritual practice and belief books than she could possibly list. She has investigated the occult, astrology, numerology, scientology, and obeah. She has gleaned much worldly knowledge, and experienced Satan too up close and personal for comfort. Through all her study and investigation, Ellen has come to know without a doubt that it is only by entering through the narrow gate of a close personal relationship with God, through the acceptance of Christ's gift of salvation, that we gain the blessed assurance of life everlasting in the presence of our Savior and Creator, surrounded by His Unspeakable Love. Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matt. 7:13-14. Over her 60+ years, God has blessed Ellen with many gifts and talents, including creativity and inspiration in painting, writing, photography, computer and organizational skills; plus patience, tolerance, compassion, love, kindness, gentleness, peace, joy, faith and courage. He also endowed her with an intelligent, analytical and questioning mind, and a passion for reading, study and research. She knows that these gifts and talents, which God gave and developed in her, are for His glory, not her own. Ellen never pursued any formal education, preferring to be directed and taught by the Omniscient One. This book and the paintings contained herein were brought into being by Him, and to Him belongs all the praise. If you were moved by any of it, know that it was by His Spirit moving in you.
