Michael Bartlett has been a regular writer for hit programmes for radio and television, and he has also written numerous original plays which have been staged for radio, TV and theatre across the UK. He lives with his wife in Norfolk. He is the author of short story collections My Village in the Valley (2021), Personal Islands (2021), A Different Drum (Austin Macauley, 2024), and novels Dreams of Eleven (2022) and Hunting the Hornets (2023). He returns to the comedy of life in a quiet backwater with short story sequel Return to My Village in the Valley.
