Her experience covers diverse disciplines including environment, energy and natural resources, agriculture, food, intellectual property, technology, data protection, construction, mining, real estate, and transport. She is a member of the Bar of Pescara (Italy), holds a Ph.D. from Ghent University, an LL.M. from the College of Europe, Bruges, and an LL.M. from the University of Milan. Prior to joining the European Commission, Dr Marisi practiced law in Belgium and Italy, was a researcher at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and worked at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg.
