Overview

Our purpose in authoring this book is to enlighten, in clear text, all who wish to truly understand the genius of our Constitution. The Constitution was not easily constructed. It required a lot of give and take by the delegates to the Constitutional Convention of 1787, all men of steadfast convictions. Out of the great compromises of the Convention came a document that allowed We the People, rather than Government, to determine their own destinies. For the first time in history, every man was given the same rights as every other man, constitutionally, and in the context of their 18th century world. America in 1787 was a man's world. Slavery was an institution, only white male landowners could vote, and women did not have equal rights. There were heated discussions at the Continental Convention about the rights of man, the future of slavery, and the scope of federal authority. The Framers knew that these issues would not go away easily, and they understood that other such issues would need to be addressed in time. Therefore they enacted a solution. Article V* the amendment clause, was included within the Constitution to allow for changes to be made to the document, allowing the American system to evolve as society matures. Restoring America's Promise: A Constitutional America Is about the genius of the American Constitution and its relevancy through the ages. The Liberty movement, which started with the American Revolution, has been the sole threat to the historical dominance of Tyranny as the prevalent government of Man. Will the future of humanity be Liberty or Tyranny, Freedom or subjugation to an elite ruling class.
