Overview

1940 and Britain is at war. Crystal Harte, a 32 year old from South London, is working for MI8 listening for enemy transmissions. Visiting London from her base in the English countryside tortures her with guilt when she discovers how much danger her daughter and friends are in. When her French informer suddenly stops transmitting, Crystal volunteers for dangerous undercover work in occupied Brittany. She assumes a new identity as Clotilde and must learn quickly how to become a spy. But war changes people and she must deal with profound decisions: who should she trust? How far would she go to resist a brutal occupation? Would she kill to protect those she loves?
