His expertise spans seismic risk analysis, geophysical site exploration, and the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence to enhance infrastructure resilience. He has been involved in the seismic risk assessments for the Al-Sharqiyah Tunnel and robustness evaluations of Muscat's coastal highway network. In addition he has worked on seismic safety evaluations of nuclear power plants in South Korea, where he contributed to the development of advanced seismic hazard mitigation strategies Dr. Zhongkai Huang is currently serving as an assistant professor at the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, Tongji University, China. His research interest is in using advanced techniques to conduct risk and resilience assessment and control of geotechnical infrastructure. Utilizing recent advances in computational geotechnical engineering, he has undertakn research on the use of multi-disciplinary techniques to solve practical risk and resilience assessment of underground structures and tunnels problems Professor Ayed Eid specializes in civil and structural engineering.
