Author Information

Laura Townshend is a lifelong word-wrangler, children's author, copywriter, actress, and (she hopes) an all-round good egg. She lives in Buckinghamshire with her husband, son, and the world's cuddliest rescue dog. She's been writing stories ever since she could form sentences and won her first writing competition at age seven. She's A LOT older than seven now, but she's still scribbling away early in the morning, late at night, and whenever an idea pops into her head (usually at an inconvenient time, like halfway through making dinner). She's worked as a copywriter for over 15 years and is also a trained actress specialising in voiceovers, hence her love of true emotions, silly voices, plot twists, and a flair for the theatrical. Her favourite things include her family, writing, acting, holidays, books, films, theatre, music, arts and crafts, sea glass hunting, county shows, folky traditions, commas (and brackets), and having a nice cup of tea.
