She is an art-historian, art critic and theorist who has lectured at the universities of Sydney, Queensland and Leeds, as well as in institutions in Poland and Hungary. She has published extensively on the history of esoteric art during the Reformation in Central and Western Europe, as well as on twentieth-century and contemporary art.
