Excerpt from Reminiscences Among the Rocks, in Connection With the Geological Survey of Canada, 1899 AT the request of my children and several of my friends, I have endeavoured. To record some of the incidents connected with my explorations while in the service of the Government Geological Survey of the Dominion of Canada. I have also set down a few details of the geological formations in which I have worked. I have prefixed to these writings some autobiographical particulars which may not be without interest to the reader.
