Author Information

Dr. David Amponsah is an emergency physician and past ultrasound division chief for the Department of Emergency Medicine, at the Henry Ford Health Level One Trauma Center. He established the first clinical ultrasound fellowship training program in the state of Michigan in 2010, and he serves as the ultrasound curriculum director at the Wayne State School of Medicine. His contributions to integrating ultrasound education into the undergraduate curricula has earned him numerous teaching awards.
