His research focus on studying hospital human resource management, cultural construction, and hospital operation process. He is also the standing director of Shanghai Hospital Association, Vice President of Shanghai Health Education Association (President of Hospital Branch).  Yi-Ming Zeng, MD, Professor and Dean of the Second Hospital of Fujian Medical University, member of State Expert Council for Special Allowance, and Director of Sleep Medicine Key Laboratory of Fujian Province. He achieved the Outstanding Contribution of Middle-aged Expert of National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People's Republic of China (NHFPC). He serves as the President of Chinese Society of Gene Technology, Deputy President of National Committee of Clinical Precision Medicine, Chinese Medical Doctor Association. His main research is focused on single cell sequencing, clinical bioinformatics, disease-specific biomarkers, lung chronic diseases, cancer immunology, and molecular & cellular therapies.
