Overview

Travis Summers and Sam Barrett are the best friends, just like their fathers before them. It's senior year, and the boys are happy and carefree, playing basketball and ranching for their families. Life is simple and good in their small town of Spanish Fort, Texas. But when Pete Rollins, a rancher with deep pockets and dark secrets, moves to Spanish Fort and buys a large ranch, life becomes much more complicated for the boys. Pete's daughter, Angie, is beautiful and talented but has an appetite for trouble. And Pete's son, Todd, has his eye on Travis's spot on the basketball team. As the boys' involvement with Angie and Todd deepens, so do their troubles. Overnight, it seems, their carefree days disappear under the influences of drugs, alcohol, and unsavory characters. A fast-paced and gripping tale of friendship and the cost of secrets, Red River Dust is a story about growing up and how a few bad decisions can irrevocably alter a person's life.
