Overviewthis is a retrospective study conducted at the Bougouni Reference Health Center (CSREF) in 2019. It focused on the reasons for consultations and hospitalizations at the Bougouni CSREF pediatric ward. Participants were patients aged 0 to 15 years who had consultations or hospitalizations at the CSREF de Bougouni during this period. Data were analyzed using STATA version 15.0 and Microsoft Excel 2016 software for descriptive statistics. It revealed that malaria remains the main cause of pediatric morbidity, followed by acute respiratory infections (ARI) and malnutrition. Consultations and hospitalizations peaked from July to December, coinciding with the rainy season and high malaria transmission. Children under 5 were the most affected, highlighting the importance of preventive and curative interventions, particularly vaccination. The results suggest that the roll-out of malaria vaccines recently approved by the World Health Organization could have a significant impact on paediatric health.
