Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationMark Akers is an assistant professor in the School of Business at the University of Indianapolis, where he teaches economics, fiscal policy, and international business courses. He is also an adjunct professor at Indiana University, where he has won multiple teaching awards for his courses in commercial law, law and public policy, urban structure, and public management in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs and the Kelley School of Business. In addition, he teaches economics, accounting, and international business courses as a visiting professor at the Ningbo Institute of Technology in Ningbo, China, and at Zhejiang Yue-xiu University in Shaoxing, China. He holds graduate and undergraduate degrees with honors from Indiana University in management, finance, and economics. A former banker, Professor Akers was also the director of economic development for the Indiana Department of Commerce and oversaw the state's offices in Europe and Asia.
