Author Information

The authors Floyd Kish, Nick Marmo and Chuck Farris, Jr. are all Physical Education teachers working in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Floyd Kish is a Health and Physical Education Teacher at New Castle Christian Academy and Summa Cum Laude graduate of Slippery Rock University. Mr. Kish is currently working on his Master's Degree in Educational Administration through the University of Scranton. Mr. Kish also owns Premier Martial Arts and is a 5th Degree Black Belt Instructor and Personal Trainer. Mr. Kish is active in many organizations and groups providing interactive demonstrations, public speaking and coaching through the Premier Kidz Foundation. Mr. Kish is happily married to Marcie Kish and has three beautiful children, Madison, Emma, and Ashton. It is Mr. Kish's goal to provide other Physical Education Teachers the tools needed to teach outstanding classes through the use of technology and by creatively using physical education equipment. Mr. Marmo is a Health and Physical Education Teacher in the New Castle Area School District. Mr. Marmo is a graduate of Penn State University and has a Master's Degree in Physical Education from Slippery Rock University. Mr. Marmo teaches elementary PE and specializes an-age appropriate motor skills classes for Kindergartners. Mr. Marmo presents annually at the Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance convention (PSAHPERD). Mr. Marmo works with the Health and Physical Education departments at Penn State University and Slippery Rock University. Mr. Marmo has been coaching Varsity football, junior High basketball, and track and field for the past eleven years. Mr. Farris is in his 24th year of teaching since graduating with Summa cum Laude Honors from Slippery Rock University. While growing up, Mr. Farris was very active in sports. His dream was to play Major League Baseball, but Mr. Farris still considers himself fortunate to have played in the minor leagues. With his background in sports, pursing a degree to teach physical education was a natural progression. Mr. Farris has demonstrated his love of athletics by being a successful coach in several sports at many levels. Winning championships from little league to division two college. Mr. Farris also continues to be active by playing team and individual sports throughout the year.
