This book helped me understand the big picture AND take action right away. There's mental models, a cohesive analogy about the journey, and real-world practice at the end of every chapter. If you want to make some changes in your life but aren't sure where to start, this book is the perfect first step. - Ty This book lays out 7 simple steps in detail to make a better decision. Anytime you have a tough decision, you can review this book to assist you in knowing you made the right decision. C. L. Piper Very thought provoking. Even though this book is a quick read, it is full of thought-provoking questions to ask about one's future, what inspires you, and how to invest in yourself. I now need to go back and re-read it, with the workbook, and apply some of these wonderful insights. -Ann Gatewood Fun, detailed, & grounded in real life. Marin does a great job a charting a clear path toward living an authentic and fully lived life. As a fellow positive psychology scholar it was a delight to see so much of the research in the field brought to life with such vivid and grounded real world anecdotes from professional clients and her own life. Definitely worth the read if you're considering making any changes to your life, or if you're curious about the power and process of a great coaching relationship. -Cordele Great secular book for inspiration and navigating your way to success. I've read a lot of secular and faith-based books about achieving success. They have a lot of similar themes. If you are looking for a secular book with a roadmap for navigating your journey that doesn't settle for mediocrity, this one is a worthy read. There are little or no facts, figures, or academic research in the book. It is storytelling based on personal experiences. A major theme throughout the book that helped me was alignment. I realized I was not doing well aligning various aspects of my life that would keep me on the path I wanted. Another great insight was to give ourselves more space between situations. I discovered that when I retired. I needed at least a year to reset before I was ready to move on to the next stage. -Dr. Phil Rosenkrantz
