The book: Readings in women struggles for relevance in Africa; The Nigerian context was motivated by the quest to investigate on how women have struggled for relevance in Nigerian Society. The book reveals the negative experiences of women in a society that is viewed as a mans world, as that women are only relevant in the areas of procreation, agriculture and domestic management, thus, they have experienced discrimination, marginalization, exploitation, oppression, violence of all kinds. However, studies have revealed the various breakthroughs women have made towards the development of the society. The book is a motivation of women's efforts towards the development of the family, church and the society.
