A native of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, he teaches at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was formerly the State Capitol conservator. Christine Style, assistant professor of communication arts at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, also maintains a printmaking and graphics studio.
