Iyer-Pascuzzi is a professor in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Purdue University. Her research focuses on plant-microbe interactions, particularly between plants and microbial pathogens at the cellular and molecular levels. Much of the research in her lab is centered on the interaction between tomato roots and the soilborne bacterial pathogen Ralstonia solanacearum. She has received numerous awards for her research, including the New Innovator Award from the Foundation for Food and Agricultural Research and the Outstanding Graduate Mentor and Teacher Award from Purdue's College of Agriculture.
