Author Information

Na'eem Jeenah is the Executive Director of the Afro-Middle East Centre. An author, former journalist and columnist, Jeenah has published numerous articles on various topics, especially related to the Middle East and political Islam. Jeenah received a Masters degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, with a dissertation on Islamic feminisms in South Africa. His PhD research focuses on political Islam in South Africa and its relation to a discourse of a jurisprudence of minorities. He is a sought-after commentator on issues related to the Middle East and Africa, and regularly appears in various media.
