Reviews

'The symptoms caused by a phone call from a journalist or the prospect of making an important presentation are common - a sinking in the stomach, clammy hands and an increased heart rate. Now the prescription should be this informative guide to making presentations and dealing with the media. John Lidstone is generous with examples from his own long career and provides a truly thorough guide to the successful use of visual aids. His checklists provide helpful summaries which should be of use to both the novice and those who have been flying by the seat of their pants with presentations and media interviews for far too long.' Linda Rose, Director of Media Services, Shire Health Group, London, UK 'Once again John has opened up his lifetime of experience with the Pharmaceutical Industry to share with others. This time the chosen subject is presentations and handling the media - both topics are highly relevant to pharmaceutical industry executives. Everyone needs to continuously learn, challenge and improve their presentation skills and handling the media will prove to be an invaluable resource for marketeers, medics and public relations managers. Success is never guaranteed, but with John's excellent reputation and the choice of topics in his new publication, I am sure the book will be widely acclaimed!' Nigel Brooksby, Managing Director, Sanofi-Synthelabo UK and Ireland 'In today's challenging , noisy Healthcare environment, the demands upon Pharmaceutical Executives for clear, targeted and convincing communication have never been greater. Whether you are developing your next formulary winning presentation for hospital or PCT, or preparing your organisation for the challenge of future interaction with the Media, John Lidstone's new book provides a detailed guide towards successful execution of your case. Sprinkled with contemporary, practical and salient examples of how (and how not) to prepare and present your case, this work book is essential reading for
