She has dozens of published poems in various journals and anthologies, including Verseweavers, The Literary Hatchet, Slant, Snapdragon, GreenPrints, Frogpond, and others. She is a past Board Member (2018 - 2021) and President (2020 - 2021) of the Oregon Poetry Association, and won first place for her prose poem ""Breaking"" in OPA's Fall 2022 Contest. In 2023, she released What the Heart Says, a hand-stitched chapbook of found poetry/art (available through oregonbooks.com). After raising a family and working variously as a high school English, social studies, and art teacher for the past 30 years, she retired in the summer of 2023. In the fall of 2023, she served five weeks as the Artist in Residence at the Oregon Caves National Monument writing poetry inspired by the monument and its history.
