Overview

How far would you go to save someone you love? Meet Lia, a brilliant doctor aboard the starship Arcturus somewhere in the sprawling expanse of the galaxy, where humanity teeters on the edge of evolution. The legacy of her father, a pioneering inventor, looms over her as she tends to the health of both humans and those augmented by cybernetic enhancements. But as the Arcturus hurtles through the cosmos on a mysterious rescue mission, Lia finds herself grappling with the fact that her father's futuristic technology is being used to usher in a new and menacing era of consciousness. Who is usurping this dangerous technology, leaving death and destruction in their wake-and to what end? Lia delves into the secrets of her father's work, where she stumbles upon a revelation that could redefine consciousness itself and thrust humanity into a new technological dystopia. But the closer she comes to the horrific truth about her father's legacy, the more questions she has about the crew's problematic memories . . . and her own. Faced with the shocking reality behind the cybernetic experiments conducted in her father's name, Lia must accept her worst fears if she hopes to prevent an explosion of malicious artificial intelligence that will reshape humanity forever. In this visionary military science fiction saga, Precipice takes readers on an interstellar journey where the line between human and machine fades into the vastness of space. Fans of military cyberpunk with intricate plot twists that explore the ethical dilemmas surrounding artificial intelligence will appreciate this epic sci-fi thriller.
