Overview

Gastrointestinal disorders in children range from benign to life-threatening, and acute to chronic. These procedures are safely used in all groups of children, including newborns. Although the instruments are similar, endoscopy and colonoscopy in children are different from the same procedures in adults, in many aspects such as preparation, sedation, technique, and spectrum of therapeutic manipulations. I commend the authors for providing tables for equipment troubleshooting. The authors of the chapters are well established authorities in the field. They bring diverse expertise to the work, including substantial experience in the technology of endoscopic instruments and accessories, as well as pathology, diagnostic methodologies and therapy of paediatric gatrointenstinal disease. The result is a book that is complete but at the same time easy to read and to understand...Very nice book, complete, well written and apporpiately referenced, but at the same time easy to understand.
