He has conducted many home inspections for celebrities, including President and Mrs. Ronald Reagan (while in office), Burt Lancaster, Barbra Streisand, Steven Spielberg and Dustin Hoffman and is known in the Southern California region as Home Inspector of the Stars. Since 1989, Mr. Charloff has also been a construction arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. Numerous times he has been interviewed on national television as a structural and home inspection expert and has appeared as a forensic engineer in court.
