The daughter of a banker and a philanthropist, Srimoyee Bhattacharya shares familial ties with Mahashweta Devi and, from a very tender age, looked upon Devi as her role model. Professionally, a banker, but Srimoyee's heart always spoke with words. She was born in the year 1992 in Kolkata, the land of literary geniuses. Although having followed a career in science and business, she has co-authored school magazines, convened over literary societies as a senior editor, published wall magazines and penned poetry in collaborative anthologies in her brief journey as an author so far. Her words are soaked in an earthy smell as she stays true to her roots.
