GiGGLE SPOON is a children's laugh-along songbook creator founded by two brothers who share a great sense of humor and a love for poetry and music. Combining their creative skills, the two created a fun collection of poems and music and combined them into a series of illustrated laugh-along songbooks for kids. GiGGLE SPOON is a tradename of BD Brands, LLC. GiGGLE SPOON's goal is to ""Serve Up Laughter"" and serve up goodwill through charitable giving. A percentage of the revenue is donated to non-profit organizations committed to the health of our children and the planet. GiGGLE SPOON is a certified member of 1% for the Planet. Dr. D.W. Knight is a newcomer to the children's publishing world, but he is not new to teaching kids. He holds a master's degree in education from University of Colorado at Boulder, taught middle school science, social studies, reading, and Spanish for eight years and coached basketball early in his career. He continued his education to earn a PhD from Colorado State University where he was most recently a well-loved professor, a published researcher, and public speaker. Dr. Knight is also a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Honor's Society in recognition of his outstanding academic achievements and a commitment to lifelong learning. Outside the classroom, Knight began writing for young readers. His sense of humor and wit weave together stories and poems that usually deliver a good-hearted message or a valuable life lesson, and they can almost always be counted on for a good laugh. If laughter, comedy, and positive messaging are traits that define Dr. Knight's work, they're also traits that define the man himself. Colleagues dubbed him ""Mr. Positivity"" for good reason! He exudes a joy of life in all that he does with a genuine interest in others and a thirst for exploration, adventure, and discovery. He speaks English, Spanish, Chinese, and aspires to learn more languages. He credits his grandmother, who was a Minnesota school district reading director, for instilling in him a love of words and languages. Bradford is fueled by fantastical dreams, surfing and music. In fact, he is even known to write music in his sleep, dreaming up melodies and rhythms, while he soars through the atmosphere and outer reaches of the galaxy in his slumber. Brad has a unique gift of turning the ordinary into extraordinary, continuously working at his craft, always seeking to improve and master it. He pours his heart and soul into his work, writing melodies and playing and singing. He has recorded albums and licensed music for others. His debut album, Paddle Days, captures his love of surfing and the beach lifestyle. Then, doing what some might call a 180, he released a country album, Surfer Gone Country, which earned him the nickname, ""Surf Cowboy,"" and really opened him up to exploring other genres too. Because music is an art, it's written from a place of emotion and inspiration, which can evolve and change. For Brad, writing kids' music is pure joy, allowing him to dance with his inner child while partnering up with his brother to bring music to his clever stories and poetry. Together they are a dynamic duo of creativity, serving up laughter and entertainment for kids of all ages, and perhaps more importantly, to the kid in all of us.
