In the seemingly sleepy Florida town of Apalachicola, network news producer IONA NICEWATCH, reluctantly assigned to a fluff piece, stumbles upon the unbelievably bizarre reality of Polly Wannacrackers' Cafe. Run by the centuries-old, nonchalant ANNA, the riverside eatery is a chaotic crossroads for bewildered tourists, eccentric locals, and a constant, unpredictable stream of time travelers emerging from a secret temporal doorway. As Roman centurions struggle with smartphones, flapper girls demand ""giggle water,"" and ANNA calmly manages the anachronistic mayhem with her own peculiar brand of wisdom, the initially skeptical IONA NICEWATCH finds herself plunged into the story of a lifetime - one that could either make her career or shatter her sanity.
