OverviewNote from the author: Politically Free means to be set free by poetry. I chose the name Poetically Free because as a child I didn't have much. The only thing that I did have that meant something to me was poetry. Writing and performing poetry saved me from selling drugs, from being in and out of jail, from being a runaway child, from self-destruction; poetry saved my life. And, in return, it changed my mind, re-shaping the details of my life, and it built self-motivation, self-determination, and self-confidence. Being Poetically Free is to motivate, inspire, and challenge others to understand that the tests they face in life are not hard, understanding that you have an ability to choose, to control what you're going through, understanding that because you came from a certain place, it doesn't mean that it is your only foundation from which to build an identity. Poetically Free re-created a new design for my life, giving me a better/firmer foundation on which to build and create rather than a damaged, crumbling foundation on which I could only exist. I could easily have been a statistic to our society, but because of poetry, I am free; this is what being Poetically Free means to me. - Troy Goodwin Full Product DetailsAuthor: Troy Goodwin , Patricia Robinson LinderPublisher: Tandem Light Press Imprint: Tandem Light Press Dimensions: Width: 14.00cm , Height: 0.50cm , Length: 21.00cm Weight: 0.136kg ISBN: 9781732830851ISBN 10: 1732830851 Pages: 82 Publication Date: 21 January 2019 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: Temporarily unavailable The supplier advises that this item is temporarily unavailable.
