"Have you noticed by chance there are a lot of generally unhappy people in today's world? We know, for example, the emotion's counterpart-happiness-is subjective, but what about the state of unhappiness? Is the distinct mood also subjective? It turns out it isn't. Setting aside grief and mental illness, there are four main reasons why people are generally unhappy. Although, mental illness could be the effect of the unhappiness and not the cause of it. I explain more about that in the pamphlet. And I don't mean a person who's unhappy from time to time. That's completely normal. Anyone can be made unhappy as easily as they can be made happy. I mean a person who's renowned for being generally unhappy. There are four usual deciding factors, and like a Venn diagram, they each overlap another to a degree. They are: Jealousy and Envy Social Isolation Mad Genius-of-a-sort Tortured Artist ""Pleasantly Surmised: Envisions of a Happy Life,"" explains each category in detail, a process that led down some quite fascinating rabbit holes. It was a deep-dive exploration into the Abstract, resulting in topics about not only cutting-edge technology in neuroscience but also past clinical case studies on psychopathology as well as psychiatric research by Harvard and MIT, to the world of Art with such influential figures as Vincent Van Gogh, Lord Byron, Beethoven, Picasso, to even the Greek philosophic minds of Aristotle, Plato, Socrates, and more. Truth is, people struggle at times to find reasons to be happy. The goal of ""Pleasantly Surmised"" is to help alleviate that struggle by providing awareness and in return, along with a customary income, hopefully receive a few pleasant laughs. It is the best medicine after all."
