Author Information

Kathy Eugster (MA, Counselling Psychology) has worked in counselling and therapy for over twenty years, including as a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors; Certified Play Therapist-Supervisor with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy; and child and family therapist with family service agencies and in private practice. In 2013, she won the Monica Herbert Award from the Canadian Association for Play Therapy for outstanding contribution and dedication to child psychotherapy and play therapy in Canada. She is now retired from clinical practice but continues to support parents and caregivers with books and articles on parent-child play. Kathy lives in Vancouver, B.C. with her partner Neil and their dog Jasmine. She enjoys spending time in nature and with animals, and loves to spend time with her family, which includes three grown children and four young grandchildren. Kathy's many happy hours spent playing with her children and grandchildren helped inspire this book. You can find more from Kathy on her website, Pacific Spirit Play Resources (https: //www.pacificspiritplay.com), where she offers an e-newsletter, blog posts on parent-child play activities supporting healthy child development and caregiver-child relationships, and more.
