Author Information

"Let me introduce myself, I am, Twilah Lewis, the author, artist and semi-publisher of Planet Zoocey Woocey. This is the second edition updated. Planet Zoocey Woocey has educational theme outlook. I am a native of Kansas City, MO. At an early age, I showed insurmountable interest in art, poetry and music. I expressed my art in many forms, copying drawing from Sunday comics in the KCMO Star newspaper. This carton caught my interest, ""Magilla Gorilla"" was just one of my favorites. I was painting with watercolor and crayons as a child. In high school, my art teacher noticed my strong interest in art. He helped me put my portfolio together and helped me obtain a scholarship for the Kansas City Art Institute. I finally graduated with B.F.A. I had my struggles all through school, as I will tell later. Bandit James depicts some of my struggles. I am a former teacher from the Kansas City, MO school district. I started teaching in the summer at the end of my freshman year of college. My teaching experience started at the Charlie Parker Academy on Paseo. Well, it was likely that I would become a teacher, if you as ask the neighborhood kids. I built the go car's out swing set's glider seats, medal roller skates, and bike parts. Mom wasn't happy when that was discovered. The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and Mr. T. J. Cinnamon was a mentor, and the First Step Fund was my inspiration to set up my business. This I did in several of the local Osco's Drug Store and other local vendors. Hallmark Card's had written me back and said they weren't ready for my style of art. Look for my Facebook page for more of my autobiography. Alan Peterson is a versatile creative professional known for his proficiency in animation, illustration, and design. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the esteemed Kansas City Art Institute and an Associate of Fine Arts degree from East Central College, Alan's educational background provides a solid foundation for his artistic endeavors. His portfolio showcases a wide range of projects across various media, demonstrating his adaptability and creativity. One of Alan's recent achievements includes the selection of his senior film, ""Gears N Lightning,"" to be featured in the prestigious Uplift Film Festival in Joplin, Missouri. This recognition not only highlights his talent but also underscores his commitment to pushing artistic boundaries and exploring new narratives. Outside of his creative pursuits, Alan is passionate about education and inspiring the next generation of artists. Currently serving as a substitute teacher in the Olathe School District, he aspires to become a full-fledged educator, having already passed the Praxis exams for a Kansas teaching license. His dedication to both his craft and teaching reflects his belief in the transformative power of art and education. In addition to his teaching ambitions, Alan extends his creative expertise to collaborate with fellow creators, providing illustration collections and logo designs that elevate their projects and visions."
