Overview

yOUR hOMe A place to build, to create. Laugh and cry. Hide and seek. To hold, to support. To be strong, yet meek. A space to rest, to recuperate. Arrive fast, asleep. Depart slow, awake. To feel, to grow. To be reborn, again. A place to leave, to expatriate. Lie in the dark. Die in the light. To lose, to find. To be love, regain. A space to relieve, to delight. You are ALL ways hOMe to me. And you are worth the fight. Ricardo Rochilez V In August 2019, my long-running, acting-out truth, was voluntarily, yet reluctantly aired to the woman I loved and whom I hoped might become my life partner. Sadly this would-be love of my life is now relegated to a mere memory with the moniker 'Last Lost Lover'. After two back-to-back deep-dive underlying Truth-seeking ayahuasca ceremonies in that same month, I embarked on a years-long self-healing and integration process that would, quite unexpectedly, reveal the unequivocal focus of my Life's Work. Have I embraced this Work? Not fully. Not yet. I'm a Work in progress. Tying up loose ends, completing projects, biding my time. An apprentice willingly waiting in the wings. Silently setting the shamanic stage for the next phase of my life and Work. My post-ayahuasca integrative journey started with my taking an introductory course in Classical Shamanism when I returned to England from my Thai island home of Koh Phangan. The Shaman's Pathway was taught by Simon Buxton, the founder of The Sacred Trust. During this weekend workshop, I was formerly introduced to Crow, a power animal ally that had persistently worked to attract my attention during the week prior to and leading up to the ayahuasca ceremonies. Next, I was encouraged by my Last Lost Lover to engage a professional shamanic practitioner to carry out focussed healings. Specifically journeying to the ancestral source and root cause of my acting out. 'Pilgrim - Twelve Days of Christmas', is the formative shamanic 'story that unequivocally wrote itself' that followed this integrative healing. It unabashedly charts my shamanic journeys through the Worlds, meeting and befriending my Guide and my power animal allies, and embodying my overarching intention to continue healing and, as Marianne Williamson might put it, return to LOVE. This chronicled crusade was wholly channelled. My in-journey narration was recorded and then transcribed the same day with very minimal editing. My intention was only to avoid excessive repetition and best-guess words and phrases that were unintelligible, and leave Spirit's wisdom intact, untainted, and unpolluted. From acting out truth to healing Truth lasted twelve months but the majority of this pilgrimage occurred during an end-of-year and end-of-decade isolated retreat spanning twelve days of Christmas. Hence the title and essence of this book. And its intended outcome. At the beginning of the new decade, I pledged to undertake the three-year professional shamanic practitioner training with The Sacred Trust. Pandemic over my new pilgrimage has just begun.
