OverviewThe protection of personal data is no longer anonymous in Niger. It is at the heart of the national agenda. Indeed, in line with its international commitments, the State of Niger has recognized the need to invest fully in this area. To this end, it passed its first law in 2017, which was amended in 2019, 2022 and 2023. These successive reforms have introduced new legal and regulatory frameworks that are not yet fully understood by citizens.
